At St Christopher’s Catholic Primary School Holsworthy students are encouraged to be actively involved in a range of decisions. Through the principles of Visible Learning, developed by the research of John Hattie, our classroom environment promotes student-driven learning and encourages students to be active participants in their learning journey. This includes having an active voice in the direction of their learning, establishing learning goals and receiving and providing feedback on their learning.

Outside the classroom, students are provided with opportunities to be involved in activities that help others and seek to make the world a better place, including leading whole school prayer at Monday morning assembly, facilitating school tours for new families and becoming involved in Junior Joeys, the Gardening Club and working towards achieving the Pope Francis Award. Students also actively participate in a variety of lunch clubs including guitar, dance and drama.

As students move towards the primary years, they can become active decision makers within their classrooms or leaders across the school. Our school leaders act as role models and demonstrate the Catholic values of service and respect within the school and local communities.
