At St Christopher’s Catholic Primary School Holsworthy, we offer an array of co-curricular activities including lunchtime clubs, opportunities to participate in local and regional sporting events, art and performance events including Wakakirri, Let’s Act, Let’s Dance and Let’s Sing.
Aside from curriculum sport and representing the state through Sydney Archdiocesan Catholic Primary Schools Sport, students can participate in a range of other groups and clubs. These are some of the activities students can get involved in:
Sport
Students participate in sport lessons weekly and with our specialised sport teacher. There are additional opportunities for those students who excel, to trial for inter school sporting competitions.
Gardening
Our Gardening Club takes pride in keeping our garden clean and reinforce the responsible disposal of rubbish and compost.
Lego
Lego provides a great opportunity for students to develop their problem solving and STEM skills. The St Christopher’s Lego table is open for all students during lunch times.
Dance
St Christopher’s has a variety of Dance groups including K-2 Dance Group, 3-6 Dance Group and Contemporary Dance. The students who take part in these groups have the opportunity to perform regularly at whole school events and masses as well as inter school competitions.
Guitar
The St Christopher’s Guitar Group practices regularly and performs at all major school events and masses.
Music
Our Year 3 – Year 6 classes take part in weekly Amadeus lessons. These students have the opportunity to learn an instrument of choice.
Art
All students take part in Visual Art lessons with the class teacher and our specialised Creative Arts teacher. Those students who show a passion and aptitude for art may have the opportunity to compete in various art competitions as well as whole school Visual Art tasks such as designing and creating our school mural.
Choir
The St Christopher’s Choir practises regularly and performs at all major school events and masses as well as inter school competitions.
Drama
All students have the opportunity to learn drama skills at St Christopher’s. Our Drama Club is accessible to all students from Year 3 to Year 6 , who would like to further their skills and also have a little bit of fun!
